Real Madrid struggling against Mönchengladbach
Real Madrid was facing the second loss in a row in the Champions league but managed to score twice in the last 6 minutes (3 min overtime) to save one point.
-The team showed character today: says Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidan.
It started badly for the Spanish team who won the El Clásico in Barcelona last weekend. MGB scored the first goal of the match, 33rd minute, by Marcus Thuram. The Spanish defense line was compared to a cheese from Switzerland by foreign media claiming there were far more holes in the Spanish defense. They could be right as Marcus Thuram scored his second goal in the second half when everyone was expecting Real Madrid to take command.
The Spanish giant did wake up in the last minute and in the 87th minute Karim Benzema scored the first goal for Real Madrid and in overtime Caseimiro managed to equalize to 2-2.
Tough result for Mönchengladbach as this was the second CL-game in a row where they lost the win in overtime.
