Christiano Ronaldo test positive for coronavirus!
Portugal and Juventus star Christiano Ronaldo has tested positive for the coronavirus and will miss miss Portugal's Nations League game against Sweden on Wednesday.
The rest of the team has tested negative and will play against Sweden as planned starting at 19:45 this evening.
Ronaldo has played in both of Portugal´s matches during the international break, starting in a friendly against Spain in Lisbon and then the match against France ending 0-0. The draw between Portugal and France meant that both teams are level on seven points with Portugal in lead due to goal difference.
Sweden has failed to pick up any points in their first three matches and is in the bottom of the group. When the two teams met in September in Stockholm, Sweden, Ronaldo became the first European player to reach 100 international goals after scoring twice in the match which Portugal won with 2-0.
Sweden who is in desperate need of points should be grateful that Ronaldo is not allowed to play in tonight´s game.
