KNVB signed with Frank de Boer
KNVB has replaced Ronald Koeman, 57, with another defensive player, Frank de Boer, 50, as the new head coach for the Dutch national team.
One month ago, Koeman was announced as the new head coach for Barcelona FC despite having several years left on this contract with the Dutch football federation. KNVB has been working hard to find the right replacement and Frank de Boer, who played for clubs such as Ajax and Barcelona and played a total of 112 games for the national team, seems to be a perfect fit.
Frank de Boer previously coached the Atlanta United in MLS but left the club after losing three consecutive games in a tournament this summer.
The current contract ends after the final of the World Cup in Qatar 2022 according to a statement by KNVB.
