Tin Stars for the fans! – Ajax give a piece to their fans
The champions of Eredivisie, AJAX, have given a star made from this year´s league trophy to the 42.000 season ticket holders as a sign of appreciation. The club had the trophy melted down as they wanted to give their fans a part of the club for their unconditional support during the hard times of the pandemic and all the matches they have missed.
”We have played much of the season without fans in the stadium” said club CEO Edwin van der Sar. ”But in each of these games our players felt their support all the same.”
According to sources, each star contains 0.06g of the league trophy.
