Spain vs Sweden 0-0
Spain with a ball possession of 76% didn’t manage to score despite at least two really big chances. In fact Sweden had the two best chances of the match with Alexander Isak hitting the goal post and Marcus Berg missing an open goal from 2 meter.
Spain frantically chased the decisive goal but the Scandinavians held out, well organized as a team and avoiding any penalties. The Swedish goalkeeper Robin Olsen did some fantastic saves and kept Sweden in the game. Robin together with Aleksander Isak was named players of the match.
“We are very frustrated we didn´t score a goal”, said Spanish midfielder Koke. “We tried everything but did not have any luck today. The only thing missing was a goal”.
The Spanish coach and former Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, complained about the pitch. “We tried to create chances but the players had problems controlling the ball on this field”
The draw leaves Slovakia in the top of the group after their win over Poland.
