Fury won the Super Fight
Tyson Fury defended his WBC title and states he will not retire from boxing. This was his last fight, and he went out with a bang. If this is true, only he knows but if so, what a finish!
“The Gypsy King” won in the 6th round by Knockout when his opponent Dillian Whyte, got caught by a right uppercut.
- I believe Lennox Lewis would have been proud of that uppercut, says the 33-year-old world champions after the fight.
The super fight with his countryman and interim champion Dillian Whyte was held at Wembley and 94 000 crazy fans. (a new record in Europe). In the first round nothing much happened and the second and third round both fighters had some success. It was in the fourth-round things started to happen and in a rough situation, the referee Mark Lyson was hit as well and there was irritation from both sides.
Fury was the better boxer from that point and in the end of the sixth round he floored Whyte with a rock-hard right uppercut and the fight was over.
According to sources, Fury earned around €30 000 000 on the fight and in the interview after the fight he also said this was his last fight.
